We’re preparing the commercial release and inviting free-trial requests. The license price is US$10, paid once. Trial downloads and checkout are not live yet. Which computers and email accounts does it support?
Applicant Packager is a Windows desktop application. It reads local Thunderbird mbox files and connects to compatible IMAP accounts. Some providers need an app password or administrator approval. OAuth-only authentication is not currently supported. We’ll confirm compatibility before your trial.
Does it decide who should be hired?
No. Scores are based on role and keyword matches in email subjects, bodies, and attachment filenames. They are not a qualification assessment. Review the original application and apply your own lawful, job-related recruitment process.
Will the same applicant appear again?
New-batch mode remembers application messages already shown for the same mailbox and criteria. A different email from the same person can still appear; unique-person detection is not yet implemented. Changing search criteria can return previously processed messages.
Does the app read or change my email?
It reads messages to find matches. Mailboxes are accessed read-only; it does not move or delete messages or mark them as read. Selected attachments are saved separately. Close Thunderbird before scanning its local mailbox, and use SSL/TLS for IMAP.
Does local processing mean nothing is stored?
No. The app saves scan history containing names, senders, subjects, and match metadata, plus attachments you choose to download. It has no automatic retention cleanup or application-level file encryption. Protect your computer and manage retention according to your organization’s policy.
Is this the same as ELB Applicant Finder?
Yes. Applicant Packager is the planned commercial name for the desktop software currently called ELB Applicant Finder. Early demonstrations may show that name while release branding is completed.
